The Stomp! Squad

 

The Stomp! Squad are advanced dancers aged 10-19yrs.

The Squad meet to rehearse on Saturdays, term times between 1-2p.m at:

The Dance Studio
The Mount School
Milespit Hill
Mill Hill
NW7 2RX

The dancers have been selected from those attending the Saturday combined Streetdance/Acting/Singing class and the Thursday evening Streetdance class.  It is also open to non Stomp students who meet the standard required.

 The Squad is trained by Bismark Anobah. 

Bismark trains Unity Youth who got through to the third semi final in the dance competition 'Got to Dance' last year.  They were UK champions 2007, 2008 and also World Champions in 2008.  Bismark himself was UK Male Solo Champion in 2010 - and also trains Ergonomikz (Youth Dance Company) who were the Essex under 16 dance Champions is 2011.

Bismark is particularly keen to develop the talent we have into and Aspiring Dance Company.

The fee for this class is £5.00 per week, payable half termly.

Any dancers accepted into the Squad will be expected to attend regularly and be committed.  Selections for future performances/competitions will depend on focus, attendance and suitability.

The Stomp Squad performed a routine choreographed by Waaktitioner Nicky Short at our recent White Group Show at Stomp! and currently have another 2 performances lined up.

The Squad were asked by The Daily Mirror - the organisers of The People's March to dance at the rally in Hyde Park on Saturday 20th September.

They were asked as a group of  'Inspirational Young people'  to perform on the stage to the thousands of people showing their support.
